Introduction

Blob Wars is a simple platform game in which you take on the role of Agent Bob who must travel
around the enemy territories and free the MIAs.

Requirements

Unix and Linux only (no code considerations made for other OSes at the moment)

	SDL (1.2.4+)
	SDL Mixer (1.2.2+)
	SDL Image (1.2.4+)
	SDL TTF (2.0.5+)
	ZZIP Lib (0.10.75+)
	ZZIP Dev (0.10.75+)

The game also requires arial.ttf. It will attempt to scan /etc/X11/XftConfig and find it in the
font paths. If it can't find it there, it will look for a local copy in the directory it is run in.

Installing

There are currently three available distributions - A binary RPM, a source RPM and a source Tarball.
If you use the RPMs then you probably already know tht drill. For the tarball it is a case of

	make

	and then,

	make install.

Running

	Run with

	blobwars

	in a terminal window.

How To Play

Arrow Keys - Navigate Menus / Move Bob
Arrow Up	- Jump / Swim
	Left Ctrl	- Fire
	Space - Select menu option

P - Pause / Display mission objectives and stats

Escape - Quit (no prompting). You may also quit at any time by clicking the window's close gadget.

The idea of the game is to rescue the MIAs on this demo level. To rescue an MIA just walk into them.
MIAs can be identified due to them being yellow Blob, shaking violently (due to shell shock) and making
comments about being scared and wanting to go home. Ther game is the usual platform afair except you have
a gun. Be careful not to fall into the lava or get shot up too badly as you will lose a life. And you only
	have three of those.

NOTE - IT'S PROBABLY WISE NOT TO PLAY THE GAME IN FULLSCREEN INCASE IT LOCKS UP. IF IT DOES THEN YOU WILL HAVE
NO WAY OF QUITTING EXCEPT FOR KILLING THE MACHINE'S POWER (well... I never found a way myself!)

Feedback

This is a one level demo that allows you to save 4 MIAs. Aside from that there is still not that
much to do. If there is stuff you like or don't like, let me know and I'll get on with it.
