Building from sources

Check out the CVS repository and build it with Maven or Ant.

Note: If you're using Ant, make sure you don't have a BCEL jar nor a Xalan jar in your [ANT_HOME]/lib directory.

Useful goals:

• build distribution:
  maven aspectwerkz:jar or
  ant aspectwerkz:jar.



• run the tests:
  maven aspectwerkz:test or
  ant aspectwerkz:test



• run examples:
  maven aspectwerkz:<definition_model>:samples:<name_of_example> or ant aspectwerkz:<definition_model>:samples:<name_of_example> where <definition_model> is xmldef or attribdef

You can also download the distribution from the Releases page.

Install

• Make sure that JAVA_HOME is set.



• Set the ASPECTWERKZ_HOME variable to point to the root of the distribution.



• Add ASPECTWERKZ_HOME/bin to your path.
